From Pain , to Beauty:
I have always been a joyful, optimistic, and prayerful person. However, there came a season of depression, and despair after the passing of my high school love, I found myself in complete darkness. With no strength to even utter prayer. One day in the month of December 2020 I felt this sudden inspiration to make a candle. Which seemed completely random at the time, I had never had the desire to make anything, and especially a candle. Looking back I now know It was God Shining light into the Darkness. I immediately reacted to this inspiration and began to do some research on what is required to make a candle. I had just quit my job, so I used my last $40.00 to buy the supplies from Michaels. 1 bag of Soy Wax, 1 pair of wicks, 1 Vessel, 2 Fragrances White Jasmine, Lavender and some dried roses. Now I was no professional, but the peace I felt while making that candle brought me joy I had not felt before. When my mom came home to find the candle on the kitchen island, she was immediately astonished. Not only was it beautiful, but it smelled incredible. I always say that you can’t learn good taste, you just have to have it. Especially when it comes to fragrances.
My Mother has such exquisite taste in all things Luxury, so my noise was only seeking the best notes. Being the entrepreneur she is, she insisted on me making this a business, but for me I wanted to give them away to family members for the Holidays. Sitting on this thought for the next 2 days, I couldn’t shake the idea from my mom. And one day I said, fine, I'll do it. But it has to have meaning. So, I sat with myself to think of a name and the first thing that came to me was “Sincerely Her”.In my heart I said “this will be from me to him, to show him even in this Pain, Beauty was birthed. I knew I didn't want it to be just another candle business, but it had to be Luxury fragrances. I decided to make the vessels from cement instead of glass, and fine fragrances like Ylang Ylang instead of apple spice. On December 5th I launched the business to social media. It quickly became a success. Through the years I grew more and more in love with the Art of fragrances and decided I wanted to curate my own. Inspired by my mother's taste in fine fragrances, for her 45th birthday, I gifted her a Perfume experience and again, she insisted on me adding this to my business. 2 years later, I added the Sincerely Her Parfum Experience.
